This workshop will cover strategies to proactively set norms supportive of an inclusive classroom. Participants will self-reflect and develop an understanding of their own identities and how they appear in the classroom, and learn to use active listening techniques to troubleshoot difficult moments in and outside of the classroom. This workshop focuses on proactive strategies, rather than on confronting bias. Participants will practice inclusive strategies to apply in their own classrooms.
